John H. King founded the company and retired in 1983.

Red River Construction Co. was incorporated in the state of Texas in 1957. It is a heavy municipal utility contractor with its expertise in water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and chemical processing installations.

The current President is Dean Porter. He is the General Manager, overseeing estimating and project management for various projects. He brings over fifty years of technical knowledge and practical application to the company, having completed more than 300 projects. Since its incorporation, Red River Construction Co. has strived for productive management of projects and quality workmanship.

Red River Construction Co. is a closely held corporation owned by Dean Porter. No job is too small, and we have completed projects over $16 million; however, the company prefers to limit individual projects to between $3 million and $20 million. This allows adequate supervision of all field operations by management, producing a quality installation for the owner of the project.

Red River Construction Co. is a General Contractor that self-performs earthwork, shoring, pipe installation, equipment installation, chemical process, structural and flat concrete work, miscellaneous metals, and steel erection.  We subcontract work such as Electrical, Masonry, Painting/Coatings, Drilling,  Roofing, and HVAC.  Please feel free to add your company to our vendor list in our Planroom, located on the Home page.
